Spook-Fest at Aldenham Country Park runs 10 to 31 October from £7.95. Plus Reveley Lodge's trail on 28 and 29 October, Willows pumpkins and half-term shows.

Borehamwood’s big Halloween event is Spook-Fest at Aldenham Country Park, Saturday 10 to Saturday 31 October, with a farm pass from £7.95. It is on sale now. Halloween itself falls on a Saturday this year, and Hertfordshire’s autumn half term is Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, so the last week of the month is when everything below is busiest.

The quick answer

  • Spook-Fest, Aldenham Country Park, Elstree WD6 3BA: every day from 10 to 31 October. Farm pass from £7.95, pumpkin picking from £4.95, tractor ride from £3.50. Pumpkin picking is not available from 12 to 16 October.
  • Halloween Fun, Reveley Lodge, Bushey Heath WD23 4GL: Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, morning and afternoon sessions. Children £6, adults £3.
  • Pumpkin Festival, Willows Activity Farm, London Colney: 10, 11, 17 and 18 October, then every day from 23 to 31 October.
  • Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, Leavesden: Dark Arts runs to 8 November, with Nox evenings on 29, 30 and 31 October.
  • Half-term shows: a children’s show almost every day at the Radlett Centre and the Wyllyotts Theatre, and a Halloween wrestling show in Radlett on 31 October.

Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council does not run a Halloween event, and nothing Halloween-themed was listed on its website or in its uploads when we checked on 3 October.

Spook-Fest at Aldenham Country Park

The country park on Aldenham Road, Elstree, is the only Halloween event inside Borehamwood’s own postcode, and it is the one people search for. The park calls it spooky rather than terrifying and pitches it at all ages.

The Spook-Fest Farm Pass, from £7.95, covers the Aldenham Mausoleum and Spooky Shack, the pumpkin hunt, mini tractor play and the bouncy castle, plus the animals. Two extras are added to the farm pass at booking: pumpkin picking from £4.95 and the Horrid Hay tractor ride from £3.50.

The catch is that the extras skip days. The park’s booking system, checked again on 3 October, lists pumpkin picking on 10 and 11 October, then 17 to 31 October, and the tractor ride and scarecrow character shows on 17 and 18 October, then 24 to 31 October only. The farm pass runs every day.

Parking is charged separately at the exit barrier, contactless only: £4.50 on weekdays in school term and £5.50 at weekends and in the holidays, so every day of half term is £5.50. Our full Spook-Fest page has the rest, including dogs, cash and opening hours (Aldenham Country Park).

Reveley Lodge, Bushey Heath: two days of Halloween Fun

Reveley Lodge, the Victorian house and garden at 88 Elstree Road, Bushey Heath WD23 4GL, runs its Halloween event on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, in morning and afternoon sessions. Tickets are £6 for children and £3 for adults.

The lodge’s own listing promises giant spiders at the entrance, garden games, a Halloween trail and a prize for anyone who finds one of its decorated rocks, plus creepy crafts, spooky story time and glitter tattoos at a small extra cost. It asks visitors to come dressed up. Booking is through the lodge’s TicketSource page, linked from its events page. That page opens behind a security check we could not pass, so we cannot tell you which sessions have places left.

One aggregator lists this event for 26 to 28 October. The lodge’s own page says 28 and 29 October, and that is the date to trust.

Pumpkin picking beyond Aldenham: Willows Activity Farm

Willows Activity Farm is on Coursers Road, London Colney AL4 0PF, just off junction 22 of the M25 and in St Albans district rather than Hertsmere. Its Pumpkin Festival runs on 10, 11, 17 and 18 October and every day from 23 to 31 October.

The farm lists pumpkin picking, a pumpkin hunt, arts and crafts, a Halloween maze, character shows, a Halloween disco and a tractor ride, all included in the ticket. Each paid child admission gets one free standard pumpkin from the patch. Willows is cashless. Its prices are shown only inside its booking system, so we have not quoted them (Willows Activity Farm).

For pre-school children on term-time weekdays, the farm runs a separate Pre-School Pumpkin Patch on weekdays from 12 to 22 October.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: Dark Arts and Nox

The Studio Tour is at Studio Tour Drive, Leavesden WD25 7LR, near Watford. Its Halloween feature, Dark Arts, runs from 16 September to 8 November 2026, and its after-hours Halloween event, Nox, is on 29, 30 and 31 October (Warner Bros. Studio Tour London). Hogwarts in the Snow follows from 14 November.

Half-term shows and a Halloween wrestling night

The Radlett Centre and the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar fill half term with children’s shows. The ones with a date in Halloween week:

  • The Utterly Revolting Science Show, Tuesday 27 October, Wyllyotts Theatre.
  • The Singing Mermaid, Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October, the Radlett Centre, £18 or £16 for ages 1 to 16.
  • LDN Wrestling, Wednesday 28 October, 7pm, Wyllyotts Theatre. £19, £16 for children and over-60s, £56 for a family of four (Wyllyotts Theatre).
  • The Magic of Science, Thursday 29 October, 2pm, the Radlett Centre, £16 or £14 for ages 1 to 16 (Radlett Centre).
  • Bubble Man: Louis Pearl, Friday 30 October, 11.30am and 2pm, the Radlett Centre.
  • Rumble Wrestling Halloween Show, Saturday 31 October, 3pm, the Radlett Centre. Front row £19, standard £17 or £15 for ages 1 to 16, two adults and two children £55 (Radlett Centre).

Every other show, with times and prices, is on our What’s On in Borehamwood page.

Is there a Halloween trail in Shenley Park this year?

Not that the park has announced. Shenley Park ran a Halloween trail on 31 October 2023, which sold out, but its 2026 events page lists no Halloween event. Its October fixture is Apple Day, Sunday 18 October, 12pm to 4pm in the Walled Garden: apple tasting and sales, juice, produce and craft stalls and children’s activities, £1 a head, under-3s free (Shenley Park). If a trail is added, this page will say so.

Getting there and parking

Aldenham Country Park charges for its car park at its own exit barrier and is not on a station. For Borehamwood’s own car parks and tariffs, see our parking page. Several closures are live across Hertsmere this autumn, including on the A411; check the roadworks and travel page before you set off. Bonfire night follows a week later: our fireworks page has the Radlett display on 1 November and the state of the Meadow Park one.
