Lots of Rice

About

Lots of Rice is a Chinese takeaway at 114 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1EF, and the first thing to know is that it is closed on Mondays. On every other day its own site splits the hours in two: collection runs from midday to 10pm, while delivery does not start until 3.40pm and then runs to 10pm, so a lunchtime order has to be picked up. Delivery covers the EN5, WD6 and WD7 postcodes, and orders can be placed online through Just Eat as well as over the counter. The menu is a full Cantonese takeaway list, with appetisers, soups, rice and chow mein, seafood, duck, chicken, meat, beansprout, sweet and sour, curried and foo yung dishes, Cantonese set meals, and a separate vegetarian section that runs from appetisers and soup through to main dishes and vegetarian rice and noodles rather than the usual two or three token options. There is no seating: it is takeaway only. It holds a food hygiene rating of 5, the top score, from an inspection on 9 January 2025 by Hertsmere Borough Council.
